About the Speakers

DR. SANIROSE S. ORBETA. M.S., R.D., FADA finished her Dietetic Internship at the University Hospital and Medical Center of Iowa and extensively trained in Sports Nutrition and Sports Medicine at the U.S. Olympic Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA.

She is the founder of the first private Nutrition Therapy and Diet Clinic in the Philippines. Dr. Orbeta is also the Filipina Consulting Nutritionist of the American Dietetic Association Specialty Group for Consultation and Private Practice, the first Sports Nutritionist in the Philippines, first certified Adult Weight Management Consultant of the American Dietetic Association's Commission on Dietetic Registration in the Philippines, and immediate Past Chairman of the Nutrition and Dietetics Board of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

The focus of her vision is the improvement of the nutritional status of the Filipino through nutrition education and dietary counselling in the clinical setting, the world of work and on the playing field.

REV. FR. RUBEN M. TANSECO, S.J completed his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Santo Tomas, and a year later, entered the Jesuit Novitiate, graduating from the Jesuit Philosophate, Berchmans College with a Master of Arts in Philosophy. He earned a Licentiate in Theology from the Jesuit Theologate in Maryland, USA, and an MA in Pastoral Counselling from the University of Detroit in Michigan. He also underwent an internship program from the Mental Research Institute in Palo Alto, California, USA.

Fr. Tanseco made it his personal mission to keep the family sacred and protected through professionalizing marital and pastoral counselling in the Philippines. He introduced courses in Family Ministry and Counselling, which were developed into an academic program in Family Ministries at the Loyola School of Theology and at the Ateneo de Manila University. Fr. Tanseco can also be directly attributed to the integration of studies on Family Life into the curriculum of other educational institutions such as De La Salle University Graduate School of Business, and the Asian Institute of Management.

MS. HARRIET H. HORMILLOSA is an educator, a licensed guidance, family and psycho-spiritual counselor, life and relationship coach and consultant, lecturer, program designer and a perpetual student of life. Harriet has done post-graduate studies in Education, Literature, Counseling, Family Ministries, Psychology, Theology, Religion, Integrative Life Coaching, Spirituality and related disciplines. She is known to most people as Sr. Harriet as she had been a member of a Jesuit founded congregation, Servants of St. Joseph, for thirty-four years (1967-2001).
She is the founder, president and program director of the Reintegration for Care and Wholeness Foundation, Inc, (RCWI) dedicated to promoting healing, wellness and fullness of life in every one and most specially among care-providers and care-promoters in our society.

MR. FRANCISCO J. COLAYCO is an author, entrepreneur, a venture developer and a financial advisor. He has over 40 years of experience that covers service contracting in the Middle East, manufacturing, trading, construction, shipbuilding, management consulting, banking and financial services. He is the Chairman of the Colayco Foundation for Education (CFE), a prime mover of the financial literacy movement and publisher of Mr. Colayco’s finance best sellers: Wealth Within Your Reach (2004 National Book Award for Business and Economics), Making Your Money Work (Nominated in 2005, National Book Award for Business and Economics), Pera Palaguin Workbook, Money for Kids and Pesobilities: Gabay Sa Buhay Pinansyal. CFE is also the producer of the Pisobilities Financial Education DVD series.

In addition to his involvement in many other corporations engaged in real estate development, financial services and food retail operations, Mr. Colayco, is also the founder and chairman of the Kapatiran sa Kasaganaan Service and Multi-purpose (KSK SMP) Cooperative, an investment cooperative formed by active OFWs who are mostly based in Hongkong, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Retired OFWs and small business entrepreneurs are also major partners in KSK SMP.

PROF. HERCULES P. CALLANTA, B.P.E., M.S.P.E finished his Bachelor of Physical Education, Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation and Master of Science in Physical Education, Major in Sports, College of Human Kinetics at the University of the Philippines.

At present, he is a Faculty Member with the rank of Associate Professor 7 at the College of Human Kinetics, University of the Philippines; Consultant/Lecturer of the Department of Education (DepED), on several seminars/projects in school sports and physical fitness; a member of Board of Advisers of Men's Health Magazine; a member of the Technical Working Committee for BPE-School Sports and BPE-Sports and Wellness Management Curriculum Formulation of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and a member of the Advisory Board of the Philippine Center for Gifted Education.

DR. MARIA TERESA GUSTILO-VILLASOR, PhD obtained a PhD. in Clinical Psychology and MS in Clinical Counseling Psychology from ADMU. She maintains a private practice in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology; Psychological and Neuropsychological Assessment and Evaluation; Psychotherapy; and Stress Management. A consultant for Psychological Development, Stress Management, Wellness, she is a lecturer at the DLSU, Graduate School of Counselor Education; Center for Family Ministries, ADMU and the Asian Social Institute.

DR. ANTHONY C. LEACHON, MD is a practicing internist and cardiologist at the Manila Doctors Hospital. He is also the Director for Medical and Regulatory Affairs at pharmaceutical giant Pfizer and member of the Board of Regents of the Philippine College of Physicians.

He has earned several awards and recognitions as an outstanding medical professional from the Professional Regulation Commission, the Department of Health (DOH), the Gerry Roxas Foundation, and the JCI Senate Philippines, among others.

In 2009, he was named Physician of the Year. Upon receiving the award, Dr. Leachon said, “The Filipino physician is he new Rizal...transcending beyond the usual role as a healer-- a Renaissance physician, leader, educator, advocate, change agent, a catalyst for social change.

Dr. Leachon considers authoring the Health Education Reform Order (H.E.R.O.) as his personal legacy. For pushing for the passage of this significant Executive Order, Dr. Leachon received the Presidential Citation for helping the government with its preventive health education advocacy.
